Cycling along the Baltic coast in Poland

Welcome to Poland! Enjoy the wide and spotless sandy coastline of Poland, stretching 500 km, from Wolin Island to Krynica Morska. This cycling tour takes you from the shipyard and the Odra River in Szczecin to the metropolis of Gdańsk, the so-called Pearl of the Baltic Sea. While cycling, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking landscape with the shifting dunes of Łeba, fabulous coastal forests and the beautiful Pomeranian countryside. During the last stretch of the journey towards Gdańsk, you will cycle among the wonderful Hanseatic City, the magnificent Long Street and the beautiful brick building of the “Church of Our Lady”. Evenings and nights are spent in cosy little villages along the beautiful coastline, with great food and architecture.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Szczecin

Welcome to Szczecin!
Upon arrival, a briefing meeting with a local guide will be held at your hotel. The evening and night are spent in Szczecin.
Please note! If you are travelling by ferry from Trelleborg to Świnoujście, you can stay the first night in Świnoujście instead. In this case, please inform us when you make your booking.

Day 2 Cycle from Szczecin to Kamień Pomorski - 45 km (65 km)

After breakfast there will be a transfer to Świnoujście / Winemünde (incl.) From there, you will cycle through the beautiful forests of Wolf towards Międzyzdroje / Misdroy. Already in 1830, the first spa guests walked along the promenade of this well-known health resort. Here you can enjoy the view of the unique cliffs and the Baltic Sea. You then continue cycling on beautiful cycle paths towards the national park, through dense forest and idyllic lakes. Overnight in Kamień Pomorski.

Day 3 Cycle from Kamień Pomorski to Kołobrzeg - 50 km (70 km)

After breakfast, you can visit the Gothic cathedral and the mysterious monastery gardens of Cammin (extra cost). The famous organ and the late Gothic murals tell of times gone by. You can then choose to take a transfer to Pobierowo and start your cycle tour there or cycle the whole distance. You’ll cycle along the coastal forests to the sea and the wide beaches near Trzęsacz. In the afternoon, cycle through the beautiful coastal forests and along stunning beaches to Kołobrzeg. Overnight in Kołobrzeg.

Day 4 Cycle from Kołobrzeg to Osieki/ Ustka - 50 km

After breakfast, a beautiful bike ride follows from Kołobrzeg to Ustronia Morskiego – on one side the beach, on the other side a bird sanctuary with small swamps and water lilies. The cycle path takes you through the beautiful beach landscape to Ustronia Morskiego. From there you will continue to probably the most beautiful lighthouse on the Polish Baltic coast, located in Gąski. In the afternoon you will continue through small villages on the Baltic Sea to Osieki.
Overnight in a former lakeside mansion in Osieki or in a comfortable hotel in Ustka/ Slupsk

Day 5 Cycle from Ustka to Slowinski National Park/Łeba - 45 km

The day starts with a transfer to Ustska. You will first cycle from Ustka to Rowy. Beautiful scenery awaits you on a road closed to car traffic, through a forest at Słowiński PN, where there are small viewing platforms placed towards Smoldzino. In the afternoon you will arrive at the open-air museum in Kluki. Then transfer to Łeba.
Overnight stay in Łeba.

Day 6 Rest day

Rest day at Slowinski NP. From here you can see the unique 50-metre high sand dunes, which move inland by about 10 metres every year. The so-called ‘Polish Sahara’ is unique in Europe and invites you to relax on the sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea. You can also embark on a hike to discover Slowinski National Park, home to white-tailed eagles, mountain owls and black storks. The remains of the old fishing village of Leba are a reminder of times gone by. Of course, you can use your bikes to explore the area.
Overnight stay in Łeba.

Day 7 Cycle from Łeba to Gdansk - 40 km

After breakfast, you will have a bus transfer to the Hel Peninsula – the so-called “Cossacks” of Poland. From Władysławowo you will cycle across the peninsula, where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The day ends with a boat trip to Gdansk (included). Probably the most beautiful way to discover the magnificent Hanseatic city.

Getting to the destination

Ferry to Poland or Germany

You can take the ferry from Trelleborg to Swinoujscie in Poland, and from there by car or train to Szczecin. You can also choose to have the first night in Swinoujscie instead of Szczecin, so you do not have to go to Szczecin. In that case, please let us know when you make your booking.

You can take the ferry from Karlskrona to Gdynia/Gdansk, then train to Szczecin

You can also fly to Berlin Airport (BER).

Returntransfer with a minibus

Return transfers from Gdansk to Szczecin cost 105 Euro per person – minimum 4 persons. If you also bring your own bike on the transfer, it costs 17 Euro per bike.
Transfer takes about 5 hours.
