Tour du Mont Blanc

Hike along the beautiful "Tour du Mont Blanc" trail through France, Italy and Switzerland

The Tour du Mont-Blanc is without a doubt the most famous hiking trail in the Alps, covering a total distance of 180 km around Mont Blanc. The tour starts and finishes in Les Houches, just outside the mountaineering capital of Chamonix. Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps at 4,807 m, and hiking around this incredible peak is a must for all avid trekkers.

On this trek, which passes through three countries (France, Italy, and Switzerland), you will experience challenging hikes, picturesque villages, cuisine and culture from three nations, rich flora, marmots, ibex, and much more.

We offer two versions of the Tour du Mont Blanc:

  1. Complete Tour du Mont Blanc: This version covers the entire Tour du Mont Blanc from start to finish, with a total of 10 days of hiking.

    Trip duration: 12 days / 11 nights / 10 days of hiking

  2. Tour du Mont Blanc – 8 days: This version allows you to experience all three countries (Italy, Switzerland & France) within a week.

    Trip duration: 8 days / 7 nights / 6 days of hiking

As always, we provide detailed maps and route instructions. Your luggage will be transported between huts, so you only need to carry what is necessary for the day.

Difficulty

The hikes are rated as challenging (3 out of 5 hikers). Daily stages are on average 10–15 km with an elevation gain of 800–1000 m per day. The stated hiking times do not include breaks for lunch, naps, or photography. Read more about difficulty levels.
