During this trip, you’ll stay in Epernay, the heart of Champagne, characterised by French history, art and culture. Enjoy the rolling countryside, the food and of course the Champagne! You can choose between a charming 3-star hotel or a more basic accommodation.
The hikes are of a very easy nature, about 5 km per day, so you have plenty of time for champagne tastings, long lunches, or to just stop and look out over the landscape.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Epernay
Welcome to Champagne!
Your cosy and very good hotel is located in the heart of Epernay. Once you’ve checked in, we recommend you to stroll around the cosy little alleyways and discover why this village is so special.
End the evening with a delicious dinner and of course Champagne!
Day 2 Vineyard hike - 5 km
You start the day by hiking about 1km up the hills surrounding Epernay. Admire the view of the city with its bell towers and vineyards. You will hike a total of about 5 km before you are back in Epernay. Here you will visit Mercier Champagne, where you will see their wine cellar, get information about the production and its history, and of course taste their Champagne.

Day 3 Vineyard hike - 5 km
You will start this day by strolling along the prestigious Avenue de Champagne, and then up the hill of Bernon (which is the highest point in the city, 208m). Along the way you will see the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims and its pleasant villages, such as Hauvillers. When you get back to Epernay, there is of course time to taste some more Champagne at one of the many Champagne houses.
