Tomorrow the journey really begins!

Day 2 Cycling from Prague to Melník - 52 km

Today, we leave Prague behind and begin our journey through the Czech Republic. The day starts with a visit to the beautiful Troja Chateau and its royal gardens, followed by the impressive Chateau Nelahozeves, known for its stunning architecture. The day’s route ends in Mělník – a charming, well-restored historic town located at the confluence of the Vltava and Elbe rivers. End the day by enjoying a glass of wine from one of the many vineyards in the surrounding area.

Day 3 Cycling from Melník to Litomerice - 51 km

Today, you’ll cycle through one of the most fertile regions in the Czech Republic, also known as the “Czech Garden.” For most of the day, you’ll see the volcanic mountain Říp on the horizon. Near the village of Račice, we recommend stopping by the river for a short break before continuing toward Roudnice — one of the oldest towns in the Czech Republic and a perfect place to enjoy lunch.

After a well-deserved meal, you’ll continue on to the Romanesque monastery in Doksany and the impressive 18th-century fortress of Terezín. This site also served as a concentration camp during World War II and now stands as a monument to the region’s tragic history.

Today’s final destination is the charming town of Litoměřice.

Day 4 Cycling from Litomerice to Decín - 53 km

Today, we head toward the mountains, cycling through a volcanic region with towering peaks and beautiful rivers. Along the way, you’ll pass several impressive medieval castles scattered throughout the area. Much of today’s route follows ancient trade paths along the Labe River, which once connected the Czech and Saxon kingdoms.

You’ll also have the chance to discover the stunning “Porta Bohemica” valley and the small town of Žernoseky, beautifully situated on the Elbe River and surrounded by vineyards. The day ends in the town of Děčín.

Day 5 Cycling from Decín to Bad Schandau/Krippen - 25 km

The day begins with a short hike through the picturesque landscape of Saxon National Park before continuing by bike. Once you reach Hřensko, you can take another break from cycling and either hike up to Pravčická brána, where you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the valley below, or take a gondola ride through an untouched part of the Kamenice Valley. If you can’t decide, it’s possible to combine both sights in one hike.

You’ll then continue cycling toward the beautiful spa town of Bad Schandau in Germany.

(If you prefer not to hike today, you can head straight to Bad Schandau instead and spend a relaxing half-day enjoying one of the local spas).

Day 6 Cycling from Bad Schandau to Dresden - 50 km

Today, we set our sights on Dresden. The day begins with a ride past the stunning Königstein Fortress, which once guarded an important trade route centuries ago. You’ll then pass the famous Bastei rock formations, offering spectacular views over this beautiful region. Throughout the day, you’ll see several fortresses and castles built by Saxon kings — a major reason why this area has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today’s final destination, and the endpoint of your journey, is the vibrant city of Dresden.
