Lake Constance

Cycling around beautiful Lake Constance

The Lake Constance Cycle Route is arguably the most popular cycle route in Europe. During this amazing trip you will visit Switzerland, Germany and Austria as you cycle around the stunningly beautiful Lake Constance. During the week, you’ll experience the charming towns of Bregenz, Konstanz, Meersburg, Stein and Lindau, vineyards and orchards, and much more. A visit to the island of Mainau, with its castle and stunning gardens, is one of the highlights of the trip.
The cycle route around the lake is wide, mostly flat and car-free. Our day trips are relatively short, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the impressive scenery with the Alps in the background. This trip is therefore also suitable for those who have not cycled much before, or for those travelling with children. The number of kilometres per day depends partly on which village you will be staying in, and whether you choose to shorten any distance by boat, etc.
Choose between travelling 8 days/ 7 nights, 7 days/ 6 nights or 6 days/ 5 nights.

Highlights

  • Enjoy easy, mostly flat and car free cycle paths through three countries - Germany, Austria & Switzerland
  • Explore the charming medieval towns of Konstanz, Meersburg, Stein, and Lindau
  • Relax at a lakeside café and enjoy the fantastic mountain views
