Sample local wines and delicacies, while soaking up the Mediterranean sun on your cycling holiday in Istria. This tour brings you the best of Istria, from the unspoilt hinterland of vineyards, olive groves and medieval mountain villages, to the glittering Adriatic coast.
You’ll start in Buje, located in the north of Istria, and cycle through the area known as Croatia’s Tuscany. Cycle over rolling green hills with vineyards, olive groves and small, cosy villages. After a few days in the Buje area, you’ll reach the beautiful village of Motuvun, with its high and beautiful location. From here you’ll head back to the coast, including Poreč, and the last stop of the trip will be the stunning, colourful little coastal town of Rovinj.
The difficulty level of the cycling is easy to medium (2-3 out of 5). You will cycle about 35-45 km per day in hilly landscape.
Explore Rovinj’s narrow streets, stroll along the waterfront and try one of the many fish restaurants at the end of this cycling week.
