Burgundy region

Hike in the beautiful wine region of Burgundy

Burgundy is home to some of the most famous wines in the world. For example, the Côte de Nuits, from Chenove to Corgoloin, which produces powerful red wines; and the Côte de Beaune, from Aloxe Corton to Santenay, known for its fine reds and full-bodied whites.
The landscape is gently undulating along vineyards and oak forests, with many picturesque medieval villages and historic towns.
During the week, you will stay in the regional capital of Dijon, and in Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy.
The hikes are between 10-20 km per day, in slightly hilly terrain. The average difficulty level is 2 out of 5.
In the middle of the week, we have also included a rest day, where you can explore Beaune.
During this trip you will hike along trails, paved vineyard roads and small roads without traffic.
We also have a shorter version of this trip; 6 days / 5 nights, where you start in Dijon and end in Beaune.
The shorter trip includes 3 days of hiking, and a full day in Beaune.

Lovely hike
Just like last time in Piemonte, EverTrek and their team organized everything incredibly well! Wonderful hiking among the vineyards in Burgundy. Finding places for dinner was not a problem, but we recommend bringing a packed lunch as there were few options along the route. Good accommodations and excellent wines in charming small towns and villages. If you’re in Beaune for a day, be sure to visit the Hospices de Beaune, which is a fantastic museum!

Pinot Noir
Very good hotels, and the pre-paid dinners consistently maintained a very high standard. The staff were also friendly and helpful. The maps were not detailed enough, and the app did not always match the maps! There should have been signs like there were for the cyclists! Overall, very satisfied with the trip as a whole. Best regards, Stig and Anna-Karin
