The daily stages are 26-68 km. You can choose between easy rides on the flat or tougher rides among the hills. Cycling is done on your own with the help of maps and GPX files for navigation on your phone.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Ravenna
Welcome to Ravenna and the province of Emilia-Romagna! Your centrally located hotel will give you the opportunity to visit Dante’s tomb and the mosaics of San Vitale. Finish your first day with a good pasta at one of the many cosy restaurants in the city, we are after all in the heart of Italy’s homemade pasta.
Tomorrow the journey really begins!
Day 2 Cycling from Ravenna to Faenza - 56 km
On your way out of Ravenna, we recommend you to stop at Sant´Apollinare in Classe, a Byzantine masterpiece. From here you’ll cycle through the countryside, surrounded by green plains and beautiful orchards. Towards the evening, you’ll reach your accommodation for the day in the famous pottery town of Faenza. End the day with a treat in Piazza del Popolo, one of the finest squares in Italy.

Day 3 Cycling around Faenza - 58 km
The day begins with cycling on quiet country roads, passing beautiful farms and orchards with the neighbouring Apennines in view. From here you continue through Terra del Sole and on to Castrocaro Terme, a picturesque medieval town on the hills below the Apennines. Here we recommend a visit to Castrocaro Castle, if it is open! The evening and night are spent in the cosy village of Faenza.

Day 4 Cycling around Riolo Terme and Brisighella - 26 km (61 km)
Enjoy a leisurely cycling through vineyards and kiwi plantations on your way to the enchanting medieval town of Brisighella. Take the opportunity to explore the historic centre and see the unique Via degli Asini, one of the best-preserved medieval artisan streets in all of Italy. We recommend savouring the delicious pasta and gelato in Brisighella. The journey then continues through the beautiful Italian countryside to Riolo Terme, a picturesque town in the hills of Romagna, with its medieval castle and moat.
Today you have two options to cycle:
Short option: 26 km, + 382 m.
Long option: 61 km, + 996 m.
Day 5 Cycling from Riolo Terme to Imola - 51 km
Today’s ride takes you through beautiful vineyards and lush orchards to the medieval hilltop town of Dozza, famous for its murals. Dozza is also home to Emilia-Romagna’s regional Enoteca (wine museum). Regional specialities include the red Sangiovese (the father grape of Chianti), now known worldwide as an important wine in its own right, and the light and bubbly Lambrusco from the hills of Modena and Bologna (excellent with prosciutto and salame). The final destination of the day is Imola, famous for its Formula 1 circuit. End the evening by exploring the historic city centre.

Day 6 Cycling from Imola to Bologna - 73 km
Today you will leave Imola to cycle to Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna. You will cycle along small country roads surrounded by lush nature and green fields. Before arriving in Bologna, we recommend stopping in one of the villages you cycle through for a good lunch. End the evening by strolling around Bologna’s cosy alleys and squares, with a good gelato in hand!
