This is a hiking holiday for those who want to experience the tranquillity and seclusion of Mallorca, be able to choose between affordable mid-range hotels, or selected quality accommodation where you stay in a traditional Mallorcan manor house that has been renovated to a higher standard, as well as in a comfortable beach hotels. This trip takes place on the north-west coast of Mallorca, which is a surprisingly beautiful and tranquil area, separated from the popular seaside resorts by the mountain range of La Serra de Tramuntana. During this journey, you will hike from one picturesque village to another, along coastal cliffs and idyllic beaches, through the mountains and past large private estates with orange, almond and olive trees.

Day 1 Arrival in Valldemossa
Welcome to Valldemossa. Check in at the hotel and explore this beautiful little town with its small alleys and squares.
Day 2 Hike around Valldemossa – 12 km (15 km)
After a short transfer to Valldemossa, you will start a famous hike. It is an old horse trail designed by Ludwig Salvador, who spent his life researching the geology and botany of Mallorca. The hike offers magnificent views of the Mediterranean.
There is the possibility to shorten or lengthen the hike (e.g. a climb to the top of Es Teix, 1062m).
12 km (15 km), +550 m (685 m), -550 m (650 m), 5 h (6 h)
Day 3 Hike from Deia to Port de Sóller – 10 km (16 km)
A taxi will take you to the start of today’s hike. The starting point is different depending on how far you want to hike today. Your destination is the coastal town of Port de Sóller, considered by many to be the most beautiful bay on the island. The hike follows the coastline, through a quiet Mediterranean landscape of pine and oak forests. You will also visit a private estate where delicious and freshly squeezed orange juice is served. At the end of the day, you will arrive at your hotel in Port de Sóller, where you will spend the next four nights.
10 km (16 mi), +200 m (280 m), -440 m, 3.5 h (5.5 h)
Day 4 Hike from Lake Cuber to Binjaraix - 12 km
Today’s route is an interesting hike through the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana. You start with a 20-minute transfer up to the water reservoir at Lake Cuber. The first part follows a wide path along the lake to the Col de l’Ofre (885m). If you wish, you have the option of hiking up to the summit (Puig de l’Ofre, 1095m), followed by a spectacular 800 metre hike down through a narrow gorge, to the village of Binairaix.
At the end of the day, a taxi will take you back to Soller.
12 km, +150 m, -800 m, 5 h
Day 5 Hike around Sóller – 9 to 12 km
From the harbour of Sóller, you make a steep climb up to the cliffs overlooking the bay. At the top you have great views from ‘Torre Picada’.
You then descend quite steeply along a ravine to reach ‘Sa Punta Llarga’, a headland with another great viewpoint, this time at sea level.

Day 6 Hike from Cala Tuent to Port de Sóller – 17 km
The day starts with a transfer to Cala Tuent, a little village with a lovely beach. From here, a 6-hour hike back to Port de Sóller begins. The first part of today’s route takes you along the coastline, before continuing inland among orange and olive groves, in one of the most remote valleys of Mallorca.
