Wachau World Heritage Trail

Wine hike in Wachau along the World Heritage Trail

Welcome to the Wachau! Here the Danube is more beautiful than anywhere else. The mild climate and steep hills make the area ideal for fruit and wine growing. Our hiking week follows the long-distance ‘Wachau World Heritage Trail’ along the ridges of the Danube Valley. Along the trail you can enjoy magnificent views of one of Austria’s oldest cultural landscapes with characteristic vineyards, apricot orchards and the impressive Danube River in the valley. Evenings and nights are spent in the picturesque small villages along the trail.
